I am Australian in fact, and I did try out for Idol once, but didn’t get through the first round unfortunately. Over here it seems they place a lot more people through for entertainment value rather than whether or not they perform well

This guy sings better than Cody Carson and Hanis place together. Listen to Cody, he is constantly vacant off-key and is pitchy all throughout the song. Hanis’s accent gets in the way as? well. This guy doesn’t pretend to be anything, just sings from his heart. Keep up the excellent work! =D
