What is Panic At the Disco’s “Lying is the most fun a girl can have w/o taking off her clothes” about?
Whаt іѕ thе fish bowl concept? People аrе walking around іn fish tanks аnd thеn thеrе′s a couple аt thе еnd falling іntο thе water. Someone please сlаrіfу οr tеll mе whаt уου rесkοn іt means tο уου.
I don’t know, but I like it.
Supposedly the fish is suppose to represent how many people that self has had sex with (remember when the girl picked up the fish?), and the water is supposed to represent how people live in their own world and don’t realize what they do to other people until they see it, and also how young they are, like an ancient self would have less water in their tank. And in the song, the girl cheats on the guy even though she likes him, and the guy failing in the video meant that he was heartbroken/found out about it. The girl (like in the song) sees what she did by cheating on him, and dies too. Then they’re thrown into the water, it’s suppose to be “heaven” where they can be together forever.
In fact in the behind-the-scenes video of the making of the music video the band said that it was just kind of a silent movie that was playing to their song. Every director that they met with had the same concept- girl cheats on guy. Panic! found that redundant so when they met with the director that finished up doing the video, they told him that they didn’t want it to be just like the song. The silent movie has nothing to do with cheating or sex and the song has nothing to do with fish or water. The video wasn’t and isn’t meant to be a literal interpretation of the song.
