blink-182 influenced Panic at the Disco! All they used to play was blink-182. Although they influenced them it doesn’t mean they sound the same. Neutral Milk Hotel influenced Brand New, I’d say they don’t sound anything like eachother.

That’s amusing, because I’ve permanently despised Counting Crows. Man, they were so overrated and just terrible.

Being an influence for a crap band does not reflect terribly on a fantastic band. It takes more than just copying excellent musicians to make excellent music. Talent is also a major factor.

eg. Queen was an influence for My Chemical Romance.

ok well i dont like either of these bands but i have done some research and Counting Crows were influenced by; “Van Morrison, R.E.M., Mike & The Mechanics, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, and The Band.”
as for Third Eye Blind there influences are; “Perry Farrell, Camper Van Beethoven and David Bowie”

    hope that helps ya =]

They are both said to be influences. Panic did a cover of Slow Motion, by Third Eye Blind, and then a cover of Tonight, Tonight, by the Counting Crows a few tours ago. That was back in 05/06 though. Their influences are much more of The Beatles and Bob Dylan and whatnot.
